Long Time, No Write

It's been a long time since I've posted and A LOT has happened in the Wagner household!  At the end of August, we experienced some big ups and downs (some of which I'll write about later).  One big "up" was that we found a new house!  It's been a flurry of packing and preparing since then, especially since we had a busy October and I was going to be out of town for our move.  We have officially moved in and are partially unpacked.  It was a little strange leaving for my trip from one house and returning to another!  We are very excited about this new home ... It's in a wonderful neighborhood just south of downtown where all the houses have tons of character.  We love the arched doorways, hardwoods, and, yes, even the retro tile in the bathroom.  James is now able to ride his bike or walk to work: a dream come true.  He said the first day he biked to work the third best day of his life, after our wedding and Bennett's birth.

Bennett has a new obsession: Cars.  He was already interested in cars and trucks, but one afternoon he watched the movie at the Morris' and he was hooked!  He is now the proud owner of several Lightening MacQueens and many other of the cars from the movie.  He likes to "drive" them around the coffee and end tables at home and say "Vroom, vroom."

Another favorite thing is the infamous purple bus.  One evening we went to the bus station to pick James up to go to the Tulsa State Fair.  He got off of a purple bus and Bennett has been talking about it ever since.  He mentions it at least once a day ... "puwrple bus."  Now, we look for the purple bus whenever we are out and about.

Benny LOVES our cat, Sophie!  He has always been pretty gentle with her, but sometimes scares her away because he gets so excited to see her.  He's been doing a lot better with remaining calm around her and gets to pet her often.  I usually call her and pat my hand on my leg or the couch, so now Bennett does the same.  It's so cute!  He can also say her name.  Well, kind of ... he calls her "Foafie."
